Preparing for Your Pet's Appointment
- Prior to your initial consultation, please contact your primary care veterinarian or any specialist veterinarians to authorize collaboration of medical records and pertinent x-rays to ensure the best continuity of care for your pet.
- Prepare an area in your home that allows for your pet’s comfort during the consultation. Typically, a relatively open living room/space is ideal for in home consults.
- Include your pet’s favorite toys, treats, and bedding
- Have a leash/collar or harness handy
- Have all medications/supplements easily accessible during the appointment
- We request all pets (including the patient) should be confined or on leash when the therapist enters the home. Even the most docile pets can behave unexpectedly when a “new” person enters their home!
- Minimize distraction from other family members, children and pets to efficiently focus attention to your pet’s needs during the consultation.
- Videos of your pets mobility concerns or lameness may also be prepared ahead of the consult and can often provide valuable information to the therapist.
- Payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card (via Square, Paypal, or Venmo) will be required at the time services are rendered
